Fiber Disc Filter

Micro Fiber Disc Filter are design for Filtration of large volume waste water for tertiary treatment.

Operational Philosophy

Waste water flows from outside to central drum through filter segments. The filter drum does not rotate at the beginning of filtration cycle. Suspended solids gets caught on the outer side of filtration disc segments which are covered with fiber media cloth. As the fiber media cloth gradually gets clogged due to deposition of solid at tank side, water level starts increasing. Water level probes actuates the rotation of filter disc drum and at the same time backwash system is turned on. High suction pressure sucks out impurities off to the sludge management system. The water level in tank starts decreasing as the flow again reaches at its peak with minimum water and suction pump gets switched off automatically. With repetition of cycle filteration proceeds continually without any interruption.
